Every year I get a little giddy when the new Côte Noire lands, and this drop is one of my favourites yet. There are new Charente Roses in three colours, two big open single roses, a soft blue hydrangea arrangement, a sweet little rose bud and a complete pink gift set. What is Côte Noire?
Côte Noire is a French luxury fragrance house known for life-like perfumed flowers. Every stem is cut and arranged by hand by one of their floral designers, and each petal has a natural coating, so it looks and feels remarkably real. The flowers are set in a hand-poured clear gel that looks just like fresh water.
The clever bit is that the flowers are the diffuser. There are no reeds and nothing to plug in, because the hand-perfumed petals gently scent the room themselves. Each one comes with its own bottle of perfume so you can refresh the scent whenever you like. Unlike fresh flowers, they keep their colour and fragrance long after a bunch from the florist would have wilted.

How to care for your Côte Noire flowers
1Mist the petals
Lightly mist the petals with water regularly to stop them drying out.
2Rinse to clean
To clean, rinse the arrangement upside down under cool running water and gently remove any dust with your fingers, then pat dry with a towel.
3Refresh the scent
Spray the petals with the perfume that comes with it whenever you want to refresh the scent.
4Keep out of the sun
Keep it out of direct sunlight to help it hold its colour.

Côte Noire FAQs
When will my pre-order arrive?
The new pieces are delivering late October to early November. We’ll despatch as soon as they land, and most NZ deliveries arrive within 24–72 hours of despatch, with rural deliveries taking an extra 4–5 days.
Will it arrive before Christmas?
Yes, pre-orders are due well before Christmas. For everything else, order by 18 December for the North Island and 21 December for the South Island.
Do they need gift wrapping?
Every Côte Noire piece arrives in its own beautiful gift box, ready to give. If you’d like us to send it straight to them, just add their address at checkout and there will be no pricing inside.
Are the flowers real?
No. They’re handcrafted life-like flowers with a natural coating on every petal, which is why they look and feel so real. They won’t wilt, and you can keep refreshing the fragrance.
How much is shipping?
NZ shipping is $10 for urban addresses and $14 for rural, and it’s free on orders over $160.
