March 2026

  • RAPT embraced an exciting new chapter by closing its Botany Town Centre store and transitioning to an online-only operation. This strategic move allows RAPT to better meet the changing needs of retail, making it easier for customers to access their favourite women’s fashion, gift ideas, and home decor products from the comfort of their homes.

  • After operating a temporary store in The Lane during renovations, RAPT moved to a stunning new location in the newly renovated Garden Lane in Botany Town Centre, known for its unique shopping experience with a focus on women’s fashion and chic home decor.

2015-2016

  • RAPT closed the Broadway store in Newmarket, which had been opened in 2015, due to major renovations in the Newmarket retail precinct at the time.

2012

  • RAPT underwent a complete store re-fit, showcasing a modern and inviting atmosphere that enhances the shopping experience for customers seeking fashionable women's apparel and unique gifts.

2009

  • Surprizes Botany was re-branded as RAPT, aligning the store’s identity with a fresh vision dedicated to curating stylish women's fashion and thoughtful gift selections. The website, www.raptonline.co.nz, was also launched, providing an extensive range of gifts, ladies' fashion, home decor, candles, and fragrances—all with national delivery and complimentary gift wrapping.

2007

  • RAPT was established, proudly Kiwi owned and operated. Family-owned and curated by a passionate team, RAPT emphasizes quality gift-giving, stylish women's fashion, and chic homeware.

2001

  • The original store, Surprizes Botany, began operations with the opening of the Botany Town Centre, laying the groundwork for what would become RAPT's unique offerings in gifts, fashion, and home decor.
