Floragems are gemstone-like nuggets. They are created from a variety of native and wild New Zealand flora. Floral elements (petals, leaves, stamen) have been picked, dried and infused with natural minerals & a sprinkle of NZ beach sand in resin. Each floragem can represent birthstone months based on the traditional birth colours.

Jewellery artist: Rina Ward : Beachcomber. Nature forager. Old trinket collector.
'I make jewellery using fragments of organic nature. Eroded seashells. Discarded fish bones. Fallen petals & pods. I also curate jewellery-making kits from my collection of vintage charms & memory keepers.
I love Wabi-Sabi. Wabi-Sabi is the Japanese aesthetic of celebrating imperfection, transience and aged beauty. This art form is very much alive in my creations.
So if you’re looking for jewellery that is curiously unique… And tells your imperfectly beautiful & charmingly messy stories…'
