Heya!!

Ever find yourself lost as to where to start with putting your room together? Find you are hung up on matching colours perfectly? Or know what you want to achieve but have no path to get there?

NO PROBEM!! We have such a diverse and chic range of decor online & instore and I thought I would share some insider tips on colour and style to help out!!

In this example we have used a Monochromatic colour scheme using blacks/greys/white and accented it with wood and natural tones and a pop of Maroon in the cushion and floral arrangement.

The style is mixing modern design with a classic look and has quite a high end luxe feel but is not overly formal.

UNDERSTANDING COLOUR
Complementary Colours: Pairs of colours that contrast & complement each colours appearance. Choose the colour opposite your main colour on the colour wheel.
Analogous Colours: Any one of a group of related colours that are near each other on the color wheel - tones.
Triadic Colours: A triadic colour scheme uses colours that are evenly spaced around the color wheel. Triadic colour harmonies tend to be quite vibrant

In this example we are using Analogous Colours as the tones of Peach & Green sit near each other on the colour wheel and therefore are very harmonious and calming.

We have accented with off-white and pops of Gold evenly spaced to create a rhytmn in the space.

ACCENT COLOURS
Accent colors are colors that are used for emphasis in a colour scheme. These colours can often be bold or vivid and are used sparingly, to emphasise, contrast or create rhythm.
In this example you have a Triadic Colour scheme using Blue/Green/Pink with an accent of Yellow used sparingly and evenly spaced around the room to create the rhythm and balance to bring the room together.
NB: The colours have all been selected in a pastel tone to create a cohesive look.
